ELEA : THE LIVE ACT
With a scenic presence and exceptional energy, Swann, with a background as drummer and percussionist, and Elea Goa, pianist and singer, etherically complement each other composing as well as on stage. Their “recipe” lies in a the combination of vintage ambients (TB 303, ARP, Minimoog, Fender Rhodes), acoustic colours (guitar, piano, bass, drums), ethnic backgrounds (percussion, flute, balafo), and their Progressive and Psytrance organic sounds – which are characteristic of their live act. A huge work of transformation on the voice of Elea Goa and the flutes of Swann, the duo is contantly experimenting with new technologies, bringing new ways to view music. They apply this in their new live show, with spectacular live effects of vocal and flute transforming, and of course their well known punchy percussion. After tours in Canada, Germany, France, Portugal, Brazil, USA, Spain, Italy (more than 500 concerts), the group is known for its performances on the international scene. The on-stage strength of ELEA makes it one of the rare electronic lives awesomely moving and effective before its audiences, and particularly creative and original at the same time.
BIOGRAPHY :
Stéphane Espaignet (alias Swann) has studied music at the American School of Modern Music in Paris and has a background as a jazz drummer and percussionist. Sylvie Gorsse (alias EleaGoa) studied the classic piano and different technics of singing. After experiences in jazz, funck and fusion bands, they meet and found the band ELEA. They decide to leave their hometown, Montpellier France, and travel around the world, playing and composing their music. Worldwide distributed in CD by Arabesque Distribution London and in digital by Ingrooves USA, the group is now known on the international electronic scene, with to its credit four albums : the latetst one, “Stellar Connection” (produced by Space Tepee Music), a trip through space and organic atmospheric sounds, sung in Elfic. Their previous album, “Strange World” (Space Tepee Music), has taken Elea Goa and Swann into a journey through cinematic landscapes, recording with a strings quatuor, inspired by their 70's childhood. Also in music stores with a maxi vinyl worldwide distributed ( “Just Mix It”, released by Bahia Records / Cyber), widely relayed by the specialized media, a second album, “License to Feel” (released by Space Tepee Music), a first one, “Love is in me”, highly appreciated by the public, as well as appearances on numerous compilations (“Eivissa” / EMI Greece, “Spirit Love” / Atoll Music Sony France, "Kumharas Ibiza” vol.2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 / Space Tepee Music, “Café Crème” / Cyber France; “Chill Out” vol. 5 & 6 / Nova Tekk Germany; “ Le Groove Eclectique 2” / Max Music USA…), and over 500 live appearances throughout the world (Freedom Festival-Portugal, Boom Festival-Portugal, PsyMind-Canada, Solaris-France, Au Bar-New York; Kumharas-Ibiza, Space-Ibiza; Magic Garden-France…), EleaGoa and Swann are now cooking their fifth opus, which will be a gathering of friends, with featurings and crazy remixes !
STELLAR CONNECTION
A mystic journey from Ethnic Progressive to Psytrance…sung in Elfic! ELEA's fourth album, “Stellar Connection”, is a trip through space and organic atmospheric sounds. The duo dives into the mysticism of Ethnic Progressive, exploring the Elfic world and its language, gliding up through the cosmos to unknown constellations. A huge work of transformation on the voice of Elea Goa and the flutes of Swann, the duo is constantly experimenting with new technologies, bringing new ways to view music.

Half of the band ELEA, inspired by the psychedelic ambient of Ibiza, SWANN has developed a deep spacy sound, mix of ambient and psyquedelic trance, as a dj, compiler, and producer.

SWANN - compiler : Compiler of the great KUMHARAS IBIZA series, he also compiled the new VILLA MERCEDES IBIZA LOUNGE, superbly mixing together great artists such as Morcheeba, Nitin Sawhney, Afterlife, Natasha Atlas, Elea, Isaak Hypnotizer, Cell, Aes Dana... to only name these ones.
SWANN - producer : Apart of his work of composing and producing in the band ELEA, SWANN is also producer for artists such as BAHRAMJI which who they are (with EleaGoa) right now in studio, working on two new albums to be released next spring 2012, but also SANGIT SIRUS which who they recorded a new album this last september, album that will be released beginning of 2012. SWANN is also working closely on the producing of the albums of ISAAK HYPNOTIZER (next album to be released end of 2012).
